Hi, my name is Denimari, and I am a single parent who has suffered tremendous losses in the year 2007.

I was working full-time last year earning a great salary from a contract job in the medical clerical field. On January 24, 2007, my mother died. Soon after that my contract position expired and I was left unemployed.

I searched for new employment and started a new job on Monday, August 6, 2007 as an office manager for a doctors office. That night, after my first day of work - two police officers came to my home to inform me that my oldest son Shaun, age 29 was dead. I lost my son, and my new job on the same day. My new employer could not hold the spot open for me, while I made my sons funeral arrangements.

Four weeks after loosing my son Shaun, my only sister died, on September 6, 2007.

I have been submitting resumes to the point where I have lost count. Too make matters worse, the minimal child support I was receiving for my 17 year old son - stopped because my ex became sick.

The stress of the losses of family members, combined with the financial stress I'm dealing with is overwhelming me. Right now I feel like a low life beggar - pleading on the internet for someone to help us before we loose everything I' ve worked so hard for.

I have set up this blog - to ask for donations - for my family to be able to survive. I am relentlessly looking for a job - but I need a boost to keep the roof over our heads.

Shaun R. Powell BORDENTOWN - Shaun R. Powell, 29, passed away Monday. Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong resident of the Bordentown community. Shaun was employed by PRN Medical Transport of Burlington, and previously affiliated with Endeaver EMS also of Burlington. Shaun, a graduate of Burlington County Fire Academy, dedicated his life to his calling of fire and rescue services. He was a member of Hope Hose-Humane Co. No. 1 since 1994, as a volunteer firefighter/EMT. Shaun rose through the officer ranks as rescue lieutenant, EMS captain, and assistant chief of Emergency Services, chief of Emergency Services and chief of Bordentown City Fire Department. Shaun was also a first responder at Ground Zero on Sept. 11, 2001, and he also taught water rescue and Jaws of Life procedure. He currently was involved with teaching CPR classes to his community. Shaun was passionate about music, musical lyrics, hiking, travel, and spent hours with his hobby of Legos. He will be missed by his family and friends. Predeceased in life by his maternal grandparents, Elmer and Anna Fallis, and sister Leeann Powell, Shaun is survived by his mother Denise Zienowicz; father and stepmother Robert and Cheryl Powell Jr.; a sister, Dana and brother-in-law Robert Simonelli Jr., brothers Glen Fallis, and Joshua Zienowicz, and a sister, Kaitlin Powell. Shaun leaves behind many aunts, uncles, and cousins with a special place in the hearts of Aunt Sharon and Uncle Vince, Vincent and Danielle Giovacchini, nephews Anthoni, Ryan and Nicolas Simonelli, and Matthew Gettman, paternal grandparents Robert and Maxine Powell Sr. and loved like family by, Edward Zienowicz, and Rob Vandenberg. Shaun will be sadly missed by his closest friends David and Jennifer Dietrich, Michael Craddock, Dana Alessandrini, Jeff Waite and James Anderson who regarded Shaun as their "Angel." A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Church located at 45 Crosswicks St., Bordentown. Calling hours will be held Friday 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and Saturday 8-9 a.m. at the Bordentown Home for Funerals, 40 Crosswicks St., Bordentown. Burial with firefighter's honors will follow at Bordentown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Shaun R. Powell's name to Hope Hose Fire House, 150 W. Burlington St., Bordentown, NJ 08505 (609) 298-0450.
